Store Norske Gull AS
Store Norske Gull AS was founded in 2003 to survey and develop Store Norske’s gold deposits on Svalbard. The company now also has operations in the counties of Troms and Finnmark on the Norwegian mainland.
The company began exploring for gold in Finnmark in 2004. While initially intended as an exploratory project to increase the company’s expertise, the preliminary studies in Finnmark gradually developed into independent exploration projects. The company has localised deposits in important areas on Svalbard and is presently mapping a promising gold deposit.
Store Norske Gull AS has 457 claims in Finnmark and 52 claims in Troms. A claim is the right to survey and exploit mineral deposits in a particular area. The company’s prospecting strategy comprises gold, nickel and PGE (platinum group elements).
